20. Timing Cover Oil Leak - V12

A frequent source of oil leaks on the V12 engine is the rubber plug in the timing cover at the front of the engine. This rubber plug hardens with age and exposure to heat, and starts to leak. Replacing this cheap rubber plug with a new one can go a long way toward keeping your engine and engine bay clean. Inspect the timing cover area for leaks. Wipe it clean and after a week of driving see if there appears to be oil in that area.
