How to Replace the Brake Master Cylinder

Any time you rebuild or replace the brake master cylinder, you must bleed the air from the cylinder before you install it in the car. If you don't, you'll have, at best, squishy brakes, and at worst, total brake failure. The procedure for bleeding the master cylinder come with the rebuild kits, and is also found in the workshop manuals.

Jagbits offers all the parts needed to rebuild your cylinder or we sell brand new cylinders for virtually every Jaguar. ABS cars utilize a ABS Brake Actuator which cannot be rebuilt the entire assembly must be replaced. The 1989-1996 XJS cars are notorious for having ABS actuator failure. We sell these units used with a warranty.
