Most reputable brake shops recommend replacing brake rotors in pairs, rather than replacing individual rotors. Why? Because differences in surface finish may cause your brakes to pull the car to the side whenever the brakes are applied. It's an unsafe condition, to say the least. You're better off replacing both rotors at the same time.
