How to fix Leaky cruise control bellows on 1980-1987 XJ6 and most XJS

The 1980-1987 XJ6 and most XJS use the same rubber cruise control bellows. This is a simple rubber piece that has two metal end caps. This bellows tends to leak around the metal end caps, so you should pop yours apart and use gasket sealant to lock the bellows to the end caps. A leaky bellows unit will cause your cruise control to fail. There are other electrical parts associated with the cruise control that will also need to be tested if the bellows does not fix the problem.
