24. Radiator and expansion tank caps
Jaguar Parts Technical Information part 2
Every Jag has at least one, some have two. These get ignored for years,
but you should really make radiator cap inspection part of your routine
maintenance. Keeping your cooling system under pressure is part of what
keeps your car from boiling over, and a radiator cap with a hard or cracked
sealing ring won't help much. Mysterious coolant loss? Slight smell of
antifreeze when you park? Check the caps!
