23. Radiator and heater core hoses.
Jaguar Parts Technical Information part 2
This week's techbit is simple, but many people overlook it. If
a radiator or heater hose blows, it's because heat, time and pressure
have degraded its structural integrity to the point that the hose
can no longer hold it in. What do many people do when a hose lets
go? They replace that hose and fill their system, then drive off.
WRONG!!! If one hose has degraded to the point of failure, then it's
a pretty sure bet that the rest of them are following right behind.
How;many times do you want to overheat your aluminum engine?
Take it from your ol' buddy: When one hose blows, replace them
all. Same goes for belts.
