Who is JAGBITS?
JAGBITS.COM is a full-line Jaguar automotive parts

for a lot longer too.
Why should I shop with you?
GOOD QUESTION! The answer is: Service. At
Jagbits, we bend over backwards to provide the best customer service possible.
Anyone can put a car part in a box and mail it, but the true test of service
is what happens when something goes wrong. That's where Jagbits.Com really
stands out. We stick up for our customers like no other. If you're not happy,
we're not happy.
Because we know more about your Jaguar than
just how much the parts cost. We've been buying, driving, and working on
Jags for years and we know them inside and out. We do more than just push
parts, we push information, making our customers the most informed owners
possible.
What kind of warranty do I get?
All new parts come with the manufacturer's warranty
against failure due to defects in materials or workmanship. The warranty
lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified.
What do I do with core return parts?
If your order includes a part with a refund component, your refund
will be processed when you return your old part to:
JAGBITS LLC
3143 Innisbrook Dr
Portage MI 49024
When will I get a response to an email I send you?
As soon as humanly possible. We are committed to responding to your emails
the same day as long as we receive your query by 5PM EST. To make this possible,
we dedicate all of our customer service reps to answering the hundreds of
emails we receive everyday. We will most likely reply to your email within
3 hours after we have received it (We open at 9:00 am EST). If you
wish to speak to a live person, please include a daytime phone number with
your email. Please give us the opportunity to give all of our customers the
best service by emailing us your questions, as this gives everyone a written
record of our communications. We are the only company dedicated to offering
this high level of service to it's customers.
What if I get a damaged shipment?
If your product arrives damaged, contact the carrier and notify them that
the shipment is damaged. The carrier will come and pick up the package at
no cost to you. Please email info@jagbits.com with your order # and let us
know that the shipment was damaged. A customer service representative will
reply to you with options for replacing your product. Please include a daytime
phone number in your email.
What about defective products?
If your product is defective, please email info@jagbits.com with your order
# and let us know that your part is defective. Please include your daytime
phone number. A customer service representative will reply to you with options
for replacing your product.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Yes we do. Most international shipments are sent using the postal service,
and may take as long as 30 days to clear Customs and arrive at your location.
Postal shipments cannot be tracked.
I got a box today, but all of my parts weren't in it. What's up?
If all your products did not arrive in one box, don't panic. Most likely everything
is ok. Since we carry thousands of items and ship from several warehouses,
sometimes not all of your products are located at one warehouse. Therefore,
we have to ship your products from several different warehouses and not all
of your items will arrive in the same box. Please give the shipments a few
days to arrive. Don't forget, it takes 3-6 working days to ship from almost
any part of the country to you. If all of your parts have not arrived by
10 days after you placed your order, please contact us. After 10 days, the
package has probably been lost or destroyed by the carrier.
How do I cancel an order?
If you wish to cancel an order, please email info@jagbits.com as soon as
possible, so we can stop your shipment. If your order has already shipped,
please refuse the product when it arrives, and we will credit you in full
minus the shipping charges.
What is your return policy?
Click here to review all of the details of our return policy
What's a core charge?
A "core charge" is a refundable charge that is
added to your order whenever you purchase a remanufactured part. The
core charge ensures the return of your old part so it may also be rebuilt.
This ensures a continual supply of high-quality parts that are less expensive
than brand new parts. The core charge is refunded upon receipt of your old
part.
What does "OEM" mean?
"OEM" stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer.
The OEM is the company that supplied the part to Jaguar when the car was built.
In some cases, more than one company supplied the same part, so they would
both be OEM. In most cases, OEM parts are superior to other parts.
But not always.
What does "aftermarket" mean?
It's the opposite of OEM. Aftermarket parts
are (supposedly) produced using the same specifications as the OEM parts,
but that doesn't mean they are the same. Aftermarket parts are generally
not as good as OEM parts, but they are usually cheaper. In a few instances,
aftermarket parts are superior to OEM parts, and we'll let you know when
that happens.
What is a "remanufactured" part?
A remanufactured part is one that has been disassembled,
inspected, cleaned, and reassembled with some new parts. It carries
the same warranty as a new part, but is generally much less expensive.
In many cases, remanufactured parts are the only parts available.
How do I pay?
To make your shopping easier, we accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards at our Jagbits online store. Money orders and Cashiers' checks are also acceptable payment.
Is your online payment system SECURE?
We use the industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer
(SSL) encryption to ensure a secure credit card transaction link between your
computer and ours. Once you complete your transaction, your credit
card number is split into two parts and each part is stored on a secure server
until we retrieve it to process your order. As a practical matter,
sending your credit card number over the net is safer than giving it to the
airhead cashier at the local discount store.
How do you ship the parts to me?
Unless you request otherwise, our parts are sent
via UPS Groundtrak or by an equivalent service. If you need the part
in a hurry, let us know. We can ship parts to you in three days, two
days, or overnight, but at an additional cost. Parts shipped to Alaska
and Hawaii are always shipped by 2-day air freight, unless you want them
overnight.
Can I get them shipped overnight?
No problem. Get your order to us by noon Eastern Time and we'll get your overnight package processed and shipped the
same day If it arrives after noon, it will leave the next day.
FYI, UPS and Federal Express do not count
weekends or holidays as transit or delivery days, so we ship a package on
Friday to you by overnight delivery, you won't get it until Monday.
We cannot ship via express service outside the 50 U.S. states.
What if I need a part that's not listed?
We have placed an information
and price request form on our web site for
your convenience. If you have a question about your car or our parts,
feel free to use this form. Among other things, the form asks for your Vehicle
Identification Number. This is important! Many parts change in
the middle of a model year and the VIN is the only way to know which part
is the correct one for your car.
Where can I ask technical questions about my car?
Join Jag Lovers. Jag
Lovers is a world-wide consortium of Jaguar owners, drivers, mechanics, factory
reps, restorers, and wannabes, all getting together to share information
about our favorite cars. It's free, it's friendly, and it's the best
car group on the Net.
Do you have a mailing list?
Yes, we have an email mailing list. It goes out on Fridays with parts specials and technical information. Some of the parts specials are ours, others are specials that we are passing along from some of our suppliers. Sign up now, by sending
a blank email message. It's free! If you don't sign up,
you won't hear from us. We don't spam and we don't buy email lists.
We only send these emails out to people who request them.
Why no pictures?
Because pictures are SLOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW. We prefer
a faster website with fewer pictures, instead of a slower website with lots
of really slick graphics. We will be adding pictures as we go along,
but only where they are really needed.
Which is better, OEM or aftermarket parts?
Usually OEM, but with a few exceptions. OEM parts are manufactured to
original equipment size and material specifications, and aftermarket parts
might or might not be. Aftermarket parts, in our experience, fail more
often and more rapidly than OEM parts. For example, I put a set of
aftermarket ball joints on my car a year ago, and they already need replacing.
Aftermarket parts typically have a higher profit margin than OEM parts, so
there is a real incentive to sell the aftermarket part rather than the original,
but the consumer may end up in a disagreeable position by being forced to
replace these low-quality parts more often.
If you have any questions just email us.
