1. Windshield-area Rust on Series III XJ6 (1980-1987)
Jaguar Parts Technical Information part 2
The Series III XJ6 (1980-1987) has a chronic rust problem around the
windshield. This is caused by water getting trapped in between the rubber
windshield seal and the car body. To prevent this, have your auto glass
shop completely fill the void between the seal and the car body with their
windshield sealant.
