Changing XJ6 Headlamps - Seven Inch Conversion

When the Series III XJ6 was imported into the US, Jaguar had to change the outer headlamps. The inner driving lamps were five inches in diameter, and the US Department of Transportation had a law that required all headlamps to be the same size. Jaguar had to engineer a five inch replacement for the standard seven inch outer headlamps. This involved a large chrome trim piece to fill the gap left when the smaller headlamp was installed. The appearance isn't nearly as nice as the original headlamps.

A popular retrofit is to convert the car back to the seven inch headlamps. We sell the complete conversion kit on the website under part number HLC301 it inlcudes all the parts you will need for the conversion.
