How to fix a Stuck XJ6 Jaguar Headlamp Relay

The headlamp relay is a silver box, about 2x2x3 inches, with blue writing on it. The relay, manufactured by Hella, is located inside the engine bay bolted to the left fender. This is the part you hear "clicking" when you switch from high to low beams.

When this part fails, you can't change from high to low, or from low to high, your lights are just stuck in whatever mode they were last in. Tapping on the relay can sometimes unstick it, but it's a temporary fix at best. Replacement of the head lamp relay is the only sure fix.
