3. Leaky Heater Cores for XJ6 and XJS Jaguars

Heater core problems have started to sprout up again with the cooler weather. When a heater core fails, the typical symptoms are small patches of fog (that don't evaporate easily) on the windshield just above the defroster vents, and a sweet smell in the air. The sweet smellis the antifreeze escaping through pinhole leaks in the heater core.

Left alone, the heater core will continue to corrode and will eventually pour antifreeze on your feet and carpets and start to rust out your heater box ($$$$$$). Fix it soon. There are aftermarket heater cores available that are every bit as good as the factory cores, but at a much lower price.
